Research into the Longitudinal Child Digital Health Record

Looking to the future, research will also underpin the work of the Collaborative and has the potential to contribute to broader public health studies. The Collaborative will engage researchers to analyse the data that is captured during the ‘proof of concepts’ trials of the CDHR, DPHR and CDHC to ensure that it is ‘fit for purpose’ and useful to future public health related research activities.

The intent of this process is to ensure that the way the data is captured is done in a way that will make it a valuable source of data for research, should the ‘proof of concepts’ be deemed successful and progress to a national rollout.

If the data collected by the digital solutions is ‘fit for purpose’ for future population health related research programs, then this could contribute to important studies designed to increase our understanding of health issues and how to improve the health of the community.
